Amazing. Literally amazing. After the readathon I'll read the 2nd Harry Potter book: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
It was cool!
Amazing! Action packed, can't put it down. There were some parts that were a tiny bit scary but it was good in the end.
Great book to read
I love the bravery and courage of Harry Potter. He is a hero for stopping Voldemort getting the stone.
The brilliant start to a magical journey
The book is about a young boy that lives with his aunt and uncle and who doesn't treat him very well. He discovers he is a wizard after receiving a letter from the magic school Hogwarts. He gets into many adventures and discovers a lot of secrets. Show more Show less
Fantastic book. Have read it many times. Creative, sparks imagination. Completely transports me to a whole different world!
I like this book because it was exciting and my favorite character was Hedwig the owl.
This book is AWESOME!!! Every time I finish a page, I NEED to turn the page......................................................................... I am desperate to read the NEXT book!
THIS BOOK IS AMAZING! ✨?⚡
I loved reading Harry Potter and learning about all of the spells and magic. I liked it when Hagrid used his umbrella to give Dudley a tail because he is really mean, and in the Quiddich match when Harry won lots of points for catching the golden snitch by swallowing it. He He he he. When Harry poked his wand up the troll's nose it was really funny, I thought it was dead. I wish an owl would deliver our mail. I would love a *imbus (Nimbus) 2000. Show more Show less

I like Harry Potter because he's really nice. Ron was really nice to his friends too. Harry was the hero to defeat Voldemort and Quirrell.
This book is filled with fun, magic and mystery. One of the greatest books a 9-12 year old could read. If you like magical, mysterious and fun stories, this book is definitely for you!
I have read all the first chapter and it is all very very exciting! I can't wait to see what happens next.
I love this book it brings joy to my life I have read it 13 times and I'm just about to start reading it again.
It was amazing so I couldn't get my nose out of it only at the end. So good I could read it over and over again for ever.
This is a very good and entertaining book, it's about three kids (Hermionie, Ron and Harry) who are going to Hogwarts the school for wizards, for the first time because they have found out they are wizards and learn spells that are very handy for the future. It follows their adventures and obstacles along the way. I recommend this book for ages 11+
This is a good book to read with the family and a great class novel. 5 star recommend

I liked how Harry found out that he was a wizard!
Harry Potter lives with his Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon because his mum Lily and his dad James had died because of Voldermort. One day, Harry Potter gets the letters from the letterbox and receives a letter for himself for the first time. It is written in green color. Harry tries to read the letter but the letter is snatched by Uncle Vernon and he gasps because the letter says that Harry is going to be a wizard in Hogwarts, but Harry doesn't know of cause. The same person writes and writes until Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia get fed up and frightened that they leave home, but still, the letters come and come until a man bashes down the door of where the family is staying for the week, and the man's name is Hagrid and is a wizard as well. Hagrid explains everything that the letters say.
When Harry is at Hogwarts, he makes new friends named Ron and Hermione. He also has a new enemy named Malfoy and he tries to make trouble for Harry, once for flying the broom when they weren't supposed to and second, to creep out of bed to the hall. When Malfoy made Harry in trouble for flying, Harry wasn't actually in trouble, Harry gets a new Nimbus 22 broom and gets to go to the Quidditch to play and has a coach named Wood for his team Gryffindor. Thanks to Malfoy! But soon, Harry finds out that it isn't Severus Snape who is making Harry in danger, it is another teacher named Professor Quirell who is on Voldermort's side, can Harry get the philosopher's stone safely and get saved in time?

I like this book because it has lots of new words to learn.
I love Harry Potter because it's got magic and things that you can't believe but J.K. Rowling make that happen into real life. And I like the philosopher's Stone because Harry finds out that he's a wizard. Show more Show less
This book was a really good read.It took me on a tour into Harry's magical world of wizarding.
I loves reading Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone because of all the magical fantasy adventures within the story. I preferred the books over the movies as there is more detail within the books than within the movies Show more Show less
This book is about a magical orphaned boy and his first adventure with his friends Hermione and Ron against the evil Lord Voldermort. The thing I loved most about this book is how Harry, despite being such a young boy, is never afraid of anything even though he didn't even know about the existence of those scary creatures before coming to Hogwarts, the school of magic. I also loved how Hermione and Ron stand by Harry in every odds, I believe they define what true friendship actually is. Show more Show less
So much better than the movie. Looking forward to reading book 2.
This is the first book in the Harry Potter series. It is about Harry's life before he goes to Hogwarts. His mum and dad died and he had to love with his Aunty and Uncles but they didn't like Harry because he was a wizard and they didn't know he was a wizard. So he goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He meets Ron and Hermoine. They learn about potions from Professor Snape, who doesn't like Harry.
My favourite part is when Harry firsts meets Ron and Harmoine and when Neville loses his toad on the bus. It is very funny.
I like this book because it was interesting. I can't wait to read the rest of the books.

I liked it because there is a mystery
As a 7 year old reading this, I have enjoyed using my imagination during this story.
This is the first book in the Harry Potter series. It has a lot of adventure, friendship and exciting moments. My favourite character is Hedwig (Harry's owl) who delivers and collects his mail. It is cool seeing the differences between a wizard and a muggle school. The subjects aren't just Maths and English at Hogwarts, they are transfiguration, potions and defence against the dark arts. I would recommend this book for 6 year olds and up (but you might like have your parent read it to you). Show more Show less
This is my first time listening to Harry Potter. I like the illustrations, but the story is bit tricky to follow. It is a bit scary in parts, so I think maybe I should wait until I am a bit older. I am 7 and a half. Show more Show less
One of my all time favourite books! I read it over and over again.
Im a big fan of Harry potter and I'm being honest it is very interesting because you get to learn but go on an adventure as you read. I am going to rage this book a 5 out of 5
I thought this book was very interesting, I have 2 favourite parts: My first favourite part is when Dudley throws cereal at the wall (which doesn't happen in the movie).
My second favourite part is when Harry, Ron and Hermoine make friends and Harry put on the sorting hat (which is like what happens in the movie).
I would still read this book again even though I have seen the movie and already read the book once. I really like the way J.K. Rowling describes things in the book.

It took us a long time to read Harry Potter before bed. It was fun learning about all the cool things that Harry and his friends got up to at Hogwarts. We watched the movie so knew how the story went, but reading the book meant we learnt more than what was shown in the movie. Show more Show less
